Abstract

W artykule omówione zostały najważniejsze wyzwania i możliwości związane z adaptacją mechanizmów oddziaływania zaobserwowanych w turystyce filmowej na grunt szeroko rozumianej turystyki inspirowanej mediami, a zwłaszcza turystyki inspirowanej grami wideo. Celem artykułu jest przegląd i zebranie różnic między turystyką filmową a turystyką inspirowaną grami wideo w oparciu o dotychczas opublikowane opracowania. Metodą wykorzystaną w artykule jest przegląd i krytyczna analiza literatury. W tekście jako główne różnice wskazano: powszechne zastosowanie technologii wirtualnej i rozszerzonej rzeczywistości w grach wideo, specyfika graczy jako turystów, w tym inny charakter relacji konsumentów gier wideo z grą niż ma to miejsce w przypadku produkcji filmowych oraz potencjalne relacje substytucyjne między wirtualnymi podróżami, a tymi w świecie realnym.
